How things begin are important. Once again, the arrogance of white men seems to have been part of the mix. This is only one quote from a long article about a complicated time and the even more complicated result.

"In Palestine, we do not propose to go through the form of consulting the wishes of the present inhabitants of the country... Zionism, be it right or wrong, good or bad, is rooted in age-long traditions, in present needs, in future hopes, of far profounder import than the desires and prejudices of the 700,000 Arabs who now inhabit that ancient land." -- letter from Arthur James Balfour, the British Foreign Secretary to the then-Viceroy of India.

Jews were already living in British Mandated Palestine during the Balfour declaration. They were Jewish Palestinians. Jerusalem was 80% Jewish. Today it’s 60% Jewish. The Jews who emigrated since WWII did not usurp land from Arabs. The Jews worked to rent or buy land and homes.

If you read the post, you will find this and more accurate information. Correct, Jews were living in Palestine at the time but a mere 9%. Then the Muslim Palestinians welcomed the Jews of WW2 whose families were murdered by Germans and Europeans.

Read the post, you will understand better what happened; how it happened and why.

Neither the British nor the Arabs welcomed the persecuted Jews. The British were downright terrible to the Jews putting them in camps in Israel. The surrounding Arab countries declared war on the nascent state and you didn’t mention the Jewish massacre of 1929 in Hebron. When Muslims pray they face Mecca. When Jews pray we face Jerusalem. The word Jerusalem is mentioned 669 times in the Torah. Not once is it mentioned in the Koran. I hope you do not defend the atrocities perpetrated by Hamas against Israelis as well as their own people in Gaza.

You sound very emotional and angry and I am not sure why. If you want to let out your frustration then I suggest Twitter is a good platform for that to spread Israeli propaganda.

My post is NOT a discussion about who did what and it is neither who has what claims and who murdered whom, it was specifically about the Balfour treaty so don’t make this political or religious...from your ‘angry’ comments it’s clear you have strong views and assuming you are a Jew but this is the problem with Jews who are always angry and consider they are the chosen ones and everybody else is not human.

Yes. Innocent civilians women, children and babies are being murdered by the Zionist occupiers. Those are the facts. Here’s another fact for you, your own Netanyahu invented and funded Hamas to counteract Arafat to cause divide, just go some research. That’s a fact. But of-course Israelis refuse this because they are occupiers and murderers and have the false belief that they are in their own land. Just leave Israel and go back to Germany and Europe, go back to where you all came from. That’s the right solution if you cant stop murdering innocent people and chasing them out of their homes. 300 years ago Natives owned the entire north America, with your analogy, you Americans murdered them, you were the terrorists who took away their land, so using this analogy, you Jews are doing the same in Palestine. There is no such thing as Israel, never was.
